Community Appearance Focus For City Of Hillsboro In recent years under the leadership of former City Manager Frank Johnson, the City of Hillsboro has been addressing a number of community appearance issues, and that is expected to continue under new City Manager Megan Henderson. These improvements have come in the form of clearing grown up lots, demolishing substandard houses and, more recently, the removal and trimming of downtown trees and the purchase of a building on the west side of the courthouse square. Share The Hillsboro Police Department investigated an apparent suicide Thursday afternoon, March 4. According to a press release from the Hillsboro Department of Public Safety, officers responded to an apartment complex in the 400 block of Old Brandon Road at 2:21 p.m. while investigating an alleged felony criminal offense and a possible suicidal subject. Officers attempted to make contact with the subject at the location and reportedly found the man dead inside the locked apartment from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The body of the 27-year-old Hillsboro man was transported to American Forensics in Dallas for autopsy. The Hillsboro Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigation Unit and Justice of the Peace Charles Jones responded.

HILLSBORO, TX â A traffic stop on I-35 led to the seizure of $90,000 in currency.
According to the Hillsboro Department of Public Safety, Corporal Anderson, with the assistance of Corporal Penney, initiated a traffic stop on I-35.
K-9 Rox and Commander Forns were called out to conduct a search outside of the vehicle. The K-9 alerted on the vehicle, and a search was conducted.
During that search, officers found false compartments containing $90,000 in currency.
No other details were released.
