Share Several Christmas events have been scheduled in Hillsboro this weekend. On Saturday, December 19, Nutcracker characters will be in downtown Hillsboro on horseback from 3 to 6 p.m., with pony rides from 1 to 4 p.m. The “Come Decorate Nater’s Tree” event is scheduled for Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. benefiting Mission Hillsboro Medical Clinic. Children will have an opportunity to pet a horse named Nater and decorate a Christmas tree. See story on page 8A for more information. PaleoTex and Texas Through Time will set up a mini market in the parking lot at 107 East Elm from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., and free pictures with Santa will be offered at Texas Through Time from 1 to 5 p.m.
