After installing the 16-inch water line, working from the north end of the village, workers pressure-test and disinfect the new line before connecting service to the buildings. The target area this week is from Saranac Avenue to Hayes Street. This week, workers began installing stormwater drainage on Parkside Drive, working toward Mirror Lake Drive, and that section of Parkside Drive was closed for the week. Mirror Lake Drive was also closed from Saranac Avenue to Swiss Road for several days beginning May 3 for pavement removal.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - Police in Kansas City are investigating the fatal shootings of three people in separate attacks in a 7-hour period overnight.
The first shooting happened around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, when officers were called to a business parking lot along Blue Parkway and found a man with gunshot wounds, police said in a news release. The man was taken to a hospital, where he died of his injuries.
Early investigation revealed there was a fight inside a business that led to the shooting, police said. Investigators were interviewing witnesses and contacting nearby businesses to see if there is any surveillance video of the shooting, police said.

Crews expect to install 100 feet of 16-inch water line each day, working from the north end of the village. They will pressure test and disinfect the new water line from Saranac Avenue to Hayes Street and will begin connecting services to each building in that area once test results are approved.
