People in the Philippines love karaoke. The country is full of karaoke bars, and singing is a large part of their culture. For the most part, karaoke is a playful activity, but some people have taken it very seriously. On more than one occasion, people in the Philippines have been murdered while performing Frank Sinatra’s 1969 song “My Way.” The deaths have been called a coincidence by some because the song is a popular karaoke tune, but many Filipino karaoke bars have banned the song.

HOLLAND, Mich. â Two people were stuck in their home at 205 West 9
th Street at 9:54 a.m. today.
One call from a concerned person led the Holland Fire Department to dispatch a team to the residence, believing there were people trapped inside the burning home.
Units arrived at the home at 9:58 a.m., learning that two occupants were assisted to safely while a dog was still missing. The pet was found at a window on the second floor, and was promptly rescued.
The fire was under control 15 minutes after the firefighters arrived. The fire remains under investigation by the departmentâs Fire Marshal however initial findings indicate that the cause was unintentional.

HOLLAND, Mich. â At 2:30 firefighters responded to a blazing fire at someone s home. The horrific scene took place on West 20th Street, according to The City of Holland.
Heavy fire swarmed the front door, making an entrance challenging. Eventually the firefighters were able to remove one person alongside a pet. However, one pet was unable to be rescued, succumbing to its injuries.
Though the details of the person saved aren t known in full, the Holland Fire Department reports that he/she was conscious, alert and oriented in transport to Holland Hospital via AMR.
