HOLLAND, Mich. — Two people were stuck in their home at 205 West 9
th Street at 9:54 a.m. today.
One call from a concerned person led the Holland Fire Department to dispatch a team to the residence, believing there were people trapped inside the burning home.
Units arrived at the home at 9:58 a.m., learning that two occupants were assisted to safely while a dog was still missing. The pet was found at a window on the second floor, and was promptly rescued.
The fire was under control 15 minutes after the firefighters arrived. The fire remains under investigation by the department’s Fire Marshal however initial findings indicate that the cause was unintentional.
