For the Juno Awards 50th anniversary, CBC Ottawa has spoken to some past winners and nominees with ties to the national capital region about the venues that helped them hone their chops. Today we look at some of the clubs that shaped the scene in the 1980s.

UPDATE: May 29, 2021 at 1:57 p.m. - The city of Mission announced Natividad Hernandez has been found.
An elderly woman who was last seen early Saturday morning is missing, Mission police said.
Natividad Hernandez, 66, was last seen in the area of Holland Avenue and Bus. 83 dropping off her son at work, the city of Mission announced in a social media post. The Mission Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating her.

NJ-based investment company led by office supply boss Moses Schwartz has
acquired a 75-acre industrial office campus in Lancaster, PA, for $30 million.
CBRE
announced it arranged the sale of BURLE Business Park, a 1.2 million
square-foot multi-tenant mixed use office and industrial park located at 1004
New Holland Avenue in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
Schwartz’ Freehold-based Jersey Holdings plans to invest in “significant capital improvements” to the 75-acre campus, which was 90 percent occupied at the time of sale.
CBRE Senior Vice President Bill Tourtellotte represented the seller, BURLE Business Park LP. The partnership is comprised of family members of the individuals who acquired the property in 1987.

Tools valued at $275 were stolen from an unlocked shed on Holland Avenue in Chatham between 10 p.m. Tuesday and 11 a.m. Wednesday.
A red Craftsman air compressor, a red half-inch air hose roughly 25 feet long and a standard tire-pressure gauge were stolen.
