Moran, 45, of Cottle Lake Drive in Coats, was charged March 19 with three counts of sexual activity by a substitute parent/custodian, according to the Harnett County Sheriff’s Office.
Lawyers for the alleged victims, who are not from Harnett County, said that the students boarded with Moran while attending classes at the school.
One student lived at the Moran home between 2018 to 2019; the second began living there in 2020, the lawyers said.
Moran was arrested after the mother of one of the boys called the Harnett County Sheriff s Office to the school on March 17, court records show.
According to the Harnett County Sheriff s Office, Moran was released Tuesday on $30,000 bail. Her next appearance in Cumberland County District Court is May 25. If the case is indicted by a grand jury before then, Moran will next appear in Superior Court.

A convicted sex offender from Harnett County has been charged in a multi-state bank robbery spree, one of which happened in the coastal North Carolina town of Carolina Beach.
Charles Lee Pingley, 52, of 210 Prince St., Dunn, was indicted by a Tennessee federal grand jury last week on one count of conspiracy to commit bank robbery and two counts of bank robbery.
Pingley stands accused in the Oct. 6 hold up of the First Citizen Bank in Carolina Beach, as well as bank robberies Nov. 5 in Lenoir, Tennessee, and Nov. 27 in Vonore, Tennessee, federal court records show. Media reports in Tennessee say the FBI dubbed the robber the Bluetooth bandit because in both bank robberies there, he wore a bluetooth headset.

James Lee Jones Jr., 38, of Spring Lake, is charged with murder, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, possession of a firearm by a felon, and six counts of assault with a deadly weapon with a minor present.
