SALINE COUNTY (WSIL) A Saline County man will spend more than a decade behind bars for severely injuring a child. Saline Co. State s Attorney Molly Kasiar announced Friday Brandon K. Ford, of Harrisburg, pled guilty to aggravated battery of a child. He was sentenced to 18 years in prison and 3 years supervised release. Back in June 2019 Ford was arrested for shaking his 3-month-old baby Bryson, causing critical injuries. The baby was airlifted to Cardinal Glennon Children s hospital after showing up at the emergency room with Shaken Baby Syndrome. Bryson Ford receiving treatment at Cardinal Glennon hospital in 2019 State s Attorney Kasiar said she is hopeful this sentence will act as a deterrent against child abuse, and will educate the public about the serious, life-altering injuries and consequences that occur when a baby is shaken.
