HARRISON Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School senior Danielle Bean is becoming something of a dog training expert.
The Harrison teen discovered it almost by accident after her family took in a mixed breed rescue, Rocky, who had some social challenges.
“We acquired Rocky when a family friend told us about her brother needing to find a home for his dog,” Bean said. “He’d gotten him from a shelter, but his life ended up taking a different turn and he was going to travel. Rocky was not geared for that kind of life so he needed to find a new home for him.
Hamilton County Schools Partners With PEF To Expand Access To eLabs Tuesday, February 2, 2021 The Public Education Foundation, in partnership with Hamilton County Schools, announced a $1 million investment from an anonymous donor to open 15 new eLabs in HCS and to support the further development of the world-leading eLab network. Officials said, HCS eLabs provide students with rich learning opportunities in engineering, computing and environmental technology through hands-on activities with digital fabrication equipment (including 3D printing, micro-computing and robotics). Now, more than ever, students need opportunities to develop knowledge and skills in science, technology, and innovation. The HCS eLabs provide a state-of-the-art learning environment where students can hone those skills as they develop resiliency and confidence solving real-world problems.
