The federal budget on Tuesday night will be a requiem to the one-time robustness of Australiaâs medium-term macroeconomic frameworks, both fiscal and monetary.
It is sobering to think that just 18 months ago Treasurer Josh Frydenberg was on the brink of delivering a budget surplus. Reserve Bank of Australia governor Philip Lowe had ruled out using unorthodox monetary policy. Câest la vie.
David Swensen, the pioneer of Yale who remodeled investments
On monday David Swensen despite a long battle with cancer he gave a regular class on investing at his beloved Yale University. Two days later, he finally managed to make some of the biggest money he did, 67 years old.
The investment industry has produced more than just direct and ruthless tycoons, unfortunate failures, and foolish fraudsters. In Swensen (who has run a $ 31 billion endowment for his alma mater since 1985), he had a rare asceticism when he transformed the seemingly wealthless management of the industry.

Nottingham Receives SEC Effectiveness for Its First Mutual Fund to ETF Conversion

Rocky Mount, North Carolina (Newsfile Corp. - April 29, 2021) - The Nottingham Company, a leading fund administrator and private label issuer to the mutual fund and ETF industry, is pleased to announce completion of the registration process for its first conversion of an open-end mutual fund to an exchange traded fund (ETF). Nottingham affiliated series trust Starboard Investment Trust completed the registration portion of the process recently, with an agreed upon conversion date of May 7 for The Adaptive Growth Opportunities Fund. The Adaptive Growth Opportunities Fund will convert all its assets to the Adaptive Growth Opportunities ETF (AGOX) on May 7th, with public trading of AGOX beginning on Monday May 10.
