Updated: 10:35 AM EDT Apr 11, 2021 WLWT Digital Staff WLWT Digital Staff A renewed search for the body of a girl who disappeared more than 20 years ago took place this weekend in Dayton.Texas Equusearch searched the area near the Huffman Dam, an area previously searched in the case.Christian Gabriel admitted to burying nine-year-old Erica Baker after he hit her with his car when she chased her dog into the street near the Kettering Recreation Center.Kettering police later found the dog alive, but never recovered Baker s body.Gabriel says he was high at the time of the crash and buried Baker, but didn t remember where. Gabriel served six years in prison in the case.He eventually told a detective he believed the crash happened near the Mad River. We re looking for a grave. And that would be a depression.
