Swansea Not Giving Up on Pablo Deal Wednesday, 29th Jul 2009 10:20
Swansea City are still hopeful that Town striker Pablo Couñago will join them, according to reports in Wales. Over the weekend Couñago turned down a move to the Liberty Stadium after the clubs agreed a fee somewhere approaching £500,000.
Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins has hinted that discussions may still be ongoing despite the deal previously appearing to be dead: The ball is not in our court. If the player wants to stay at Ipswich, that is up to him and we have never focused on just one option. What I would say is that there are a few options at this stage which may or may not come off.
