(NYSE: FE), continues to conduct tree trimming work in communities across its service area in Pennsylvania as part of its ongoing efforts to help enhance electric service reliability. Maintaining proper clearances around electrical equipment can help reduce the frequency and duration of tree-related power outages, especially those associated with severe weather such as spring and summer thunderstorms. Since the beginning of the year, tree contractors have trimmed along about 650 miles of distribution and transmission lines in the Met-Ed area as part of the company s $28 million vegetation management program for 2020. Met-Ed s program remains on schedule to complete an additional 2,550 miles of work by year end.

Several restaurants are preparing to open in the Harrisburg area, giving pent-up diners an opportunity to grab a seat or takeout from a new spot. While some of the restaurants’ plans were delayed by COVID-19, others have sprung up during the pandemic hiatus. Many are awaiting the all-clear as state restrictions loosen up and vaccination rates to climb before they officially host grand openings. The new restaurants are coming on board as the state has eased some restrictions on restaurants, allowing more diners, bar service and later hours for serving alcohol.

US Marshals make arrest in Harrisburg shooting Updated 5:04 PM; The US Marshals Service arrested a Harrisburg man on Tuesday, the day after a shooting in the city, according to officials. Omar Saez-Ramos, 34, is the suspect in a shooting that occurred in the 1000 block of North 12th Street on Monday, the Marshals said. Details of the shooting, including injuries or damage, were not available. Charges of aggravated assault and reckless endangerment were filed against Saez-Ramos and the Marshals Service was asked to assist in taking him into custody. Tuesday morning, members of the Marshals’ fugitive task force arrested Saez-Ramos in the 900 block of Norwood Street in Harrisburg.
