EDMONTON Newly obtained Alberta Health Services inspection documents highlight the extent of the public health violations observed at GraceLife Church west of Edmonton. The documents cover 18 inspections performed between July 10, 2020, and April 7, 2021, and were obtained from AHS via freedom of information requests. The records show public health inspectors who found a consistent indifference to COVID-19 safety precautions. “The Pastor communicated to RCMP that he believes the pandemic is not going away, it’s been ten months and they need to follow God,” according to an inspector’s notes during a Dec. 20 visit. “Pastor said Dr. Deena Hinshaw is a dictator and the Premier is hiding behind her.”

A Parkland RCMP officer was conducting patrols in the Acheson industrial area on May 10, when he observed a male sleeping in a parked vehicle. An investigation revealed the vehicle fled from Slave Lake RCMP earlier that morning when police attempted to stop it.
RCMP tried to speak to the suspect, but he fled at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was located a short time later and the suspect was observed walking along the road. After spotting police, the suspect ran into a wooded area, where the RCMP set up a containment, located the suspect and arrested him without incident.

Parkland RCMP have put a major dent in organized crime and the illicit drug trade in the region.
Following a lengthy investigation that spanned several months, the Parkland RCMP Drug Unit and Crime Reduction Unit seized what is believed to be the largest amount of illegal drugs ever confiscated in Parkland County.
