This may be the longest sack in NFL history
The Chiefs are AFC West champs for the fifth consecutive year after holding off the Dolphins in Miami on Sunday. Patrick Mahomes threw for 393 yards and two touchdowns, but he also made a few errors. He threw three picks and was sacked three times, including one sack that, unless you were a Cardinals fan in 1997, was the longest you’ve ever seen.
In the first quarter, Mahomes took a shotgun snap on third-and-12 and the pocket quickly collapsed as both Miami edge rushers beat their men. Mahomes retreated toward his own end zone and was finally tripped up by Jerome Baker at the three-yard line. It was a 30-yard loss that left Kansas City punting on fourth-and-42. The punt went out of bounds short of the first-down marker.
Mahomes also has two interceptions of the day so far.

With every game, it feels like Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is rewriting the history books and redefining the position. Normally that involves some kind of amazing touchdown pass or a scramble for a first down that he pulls out of nowhere. Apparently, it even includes the times when he gets sacked.
Mahomes and the Chiefs were already off to a rough start on Sunday against the Miami Dolphins. With a little over nine minutes left in the first quarter and the score knotted up at 0-0, the QB tried to dump the ball to Travis Kelce but it ended up getting tipped by Dolphins linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel, giving cornerback Byron Jones the chance to snag it.

Patrick Mahomes is having a rough time against the Miami Dolphins. Mahomes has thrown two interceptions and he took the worst sack we ve seen in the NFL in more than two decades. All of that happened in the first quarter.

Sure, this kind of thing probably happens all the time in college or high school football, but how often does something this hilarious and embarrassing take place in the NFL? Well, the last person to do it is Stoney Case with the Arizona Cardinals in 1997.
