Longview ISD Superintendent Dr. James Wilcox says that though the money won’t help in the current school year or even the year after that, the $19.66 million allocated for the district will be gratefully used when it does arrive.

Sentencing set for former Sabine ISD aide accused of inappropriate relationship with student Cassie Dowden By KLTV Digital Media Staff | January 13, 2021 at 11:10 AM CST - Updated January 13 at 7:16 PM GREGG COUNTY, Texas (KLTV) - A Gregg County judge has set the sentencing hearing for a former Sabine Independent School District teacher’s aide who is charged with inappropriate relationship with a student. Cassie Wyn Dowden is awaiting sentencing for improper relationship between an educator and a student. Dowden appeared in court Wednesday as part of a plea agreement hearing. Judge J. Scott Novy heard the plea agreement and scheduled Dowden’s sentencing for March 24.
