Car Crash at Mobile Pizza Stand in Echo Park Leaves Two Injured in Serious Condition

On December 26, two men were injured and are in serious condition due to a car crash at Nico’s mobile pizza stand at 1218 Sunset Boulevard at about 9:30 p.m., according to KTLA News. In the accident, owner Nicolas Valerio-Rodriguez says his stepson, who was working on the stand, was thrown several feet due to the impact of the car. The stepson was taken to the emergency room along with another person who was injured. While the oven itself seems to be mostly intact from the crash, the rest of the trailer and Valerio-Rodriguez’s truck sustained heavy damage. Fans have launched a GoFundMe to help raise money to put Valerio-Rodriguez’s pizza trailer back in operation, as the pizzaiolo put his entire life savings in to launch the operation.
