Rochester s Battle of the badges is coming up with a record-breaking number of donations this year. As of today, the battle between law enforcement, fire department, and ambulance services has received 516 donations total. We re really excited because we re in a nationwide blood shortage and we need blood products. So this competition is helping; the community is stepping up and coming in and donating for their favorite first responder group, said Katy Maeder, Marketing & Recruitment Coordinator, Mayo Clinic.
