60yearold Heriberto Diaz was shot and killed last saturday while walking home from work. The family held a car wash today near bonanza and nellis. Theyre hoping to raise nearly 15 thousand dollars so they can bury heriberto in mexico next to his mother. His wife maria is confident they will reach their goal and also believes police will find the people responsible for her husbands death. From what i can see, they are working hard on it. I can see theyre moving around my neighborhood. I see them stopping everybody, you know, in the neighborhood. The family will be holding the car wash again tomorrow from 10am to 4pm in the parking lot of kmart on bonanza and nellis. A 13 action news update tonight. A henderson man has been arrested in the hit and run death of a woman crossing boulder highway earlier this week. Busier locations because the ice is thicker here. There are about a dozen bob houses and the people who are using them know that they are to take extra precautions this weekend. For diehard fishermen, this winter hasnt been the same. Its tough, this year is very tough to find some ice. Reporter mark gear drilled the holes for this weekends ice fishing derby. Several others have found safe spots on the lake, but down the road in meredith bay its a different story. This was the scene last year with dozens of bob houses on the ice. Today, its completely different. People need to be safe. Use your head. Reporter rain and warmer temperatures have weakened the ice. This week the Meredith Rotary Club met with fish and game and considered the weather forecast, ultimately choosing to hold the annual event. We made the decision that we would go forward based on the fact that there still is plenty of ice in other locations that long as you know where youre going. Certainly this year we have great
