Emirates Skywards Extends Tier Status, Miles
(29 Jan 2021) Emirates Skywards has extended the elite tier status of members by an additional 12 months.
Emirates Skywards Silver and Gold members with a tier review date prior to 31 December 2021, will have their current tier status extended by an additional 12 months.
Platinum members with a tier review date prior to 31 December 2021, will also have their current tier status extended by 12 months, in addition to the Gold status of any nominee.
The loyalty programme has also further extended the validity of any Skywards Miles due to expire since April 2020 until 30 June 2021.
Skywards Miles can be redeemed up to 11 months

Qatar Airways Privilege Club Extends Tier Status of Members
(28 Jan 2021) Qatar Airways Privilege Club has extended its members’ tier status in recognition that travel plans continue to be impacted by the ongoing global COVID19 pandemic.
The initiative will extend members’ tier status until 31 December 2021 and applies to Silver, Gold and Platinum members whose tier is due to end this year and have not earned enough Qpoints to retain it.
The airline is also offering all passengers with unlimited date changes and free refunds for tickets issued before 30 April 2021 for travel completed by 31 December 2021.

SAS and Apollo Extend Partnership for Three More Years
(28 Jan 2021) SAS and Apollo have expanded their partnership regarding charter flights in a contract which covers three summer and three winter seasons through to 2024, with an option for an extension of a further two years to 2026.
The partnership with Apollo represents SAS’ largest contract with a charter operator and is worth around SEK 3.4 billion over the first three years.
SAS will fly Apollo customers to and from 24 locations across Sweden, Denmark and Norway to 51 destinations around Europe.
