CHARLTON – Amazon plans to build a 1 million-square-foot warehouse on about 100 acres at 53 Sturbridge Road.
Bluewater Property Group and Bay Colony Property Group described the project to selectmen in April. But until a selectemen s meeting Tuesday, the name of the would-be tenant was not publicly confirmed.
In April, the lawyer representing the project, Mark Donahue of Fletcher and Tilton, said the project, for an unnamed tenant, would be a $300 to $400 million investment that would bring more than 1,000 full-time jobs to the area.
At the time, he said the project hinged on the town amending its zoning bylaw to increase the 50-foot maximum building height in the business enterprise park zone to 110 feet. He said the tenant uses specialized technology for material handling which requires greater building heights and multiple stories.
(realtor.com) MEDFIELD, MA Former Boston Red Sox star pitcher Curt Schilling and his wife Shonda have listed their Medfield Home for sale for just under $1.9 million.
Schilling spent the last four years of his 20-year MLB career with the Red Sox and contributed to the team winning two World Series. This included perhaps Schilling s most iconic performance in Game 6 of the 2004 ALCS against the New York Yankees, which became known as the bloody sock game. Schilling won the game playing on an injured ankle, and by the end of the game, part of the pitcher s sock was visibly soaked in blood.
