The Chapman Township Volunteer Fire Company will be holding a fundraiser to raise money for the station. The fundraiser will also benefit local businesses.
RENOVO The Chapman Township Volunteer Fire Company has started their first of what they plan on becoming a semi-annual fundraiser which they hope will not only benefit them but will surely help local businesses.
The “Businesses Fund Drive” is a raffle in which the fire company purchased 30 $25 gift certificates from the Renovo area surrounding businesses. One winner will receive all 30 certificates.
The fundraising committee has decided instead of purchasing prizes from large retail stores they would try to help local businesses. The area businesses have been suffering through the COVID-19 pandemic so why not help them out and the fire company at the same time.

RENOVO A Lycoming County man is accused of recently trying to rape a cashier at a store in Renovo.
Lance C. Baker, 35, of Linden, is being held at the Clinton County Correctional Facility in lieu of $50,000 bail, accused by state police of attempted rape at Scoot’s Service Center, 1336 Huron Ave. in Renovo.
Bail was set by Magisterial District Judge Frank P. Mills on Dec. 18.
Baker entered the store just before 10 p.m. on Dec. 17 and attempted to sexually assault the cashier, police allege.
“Baker walked up behind the clerk and grabbed the clerk, forcing her into the back room where Baker attempted to sexually assault her,” Trooper Brian Kitko wrote in a press release issued Tuesday.
