Tech company to create 40 roles for Galway

It was announced last week that A-LIGN, a global security and compliance solutions provider, will establish its EMEA Business Headquarters in Galway, with the creation of approximately 40 roles over the next five years.
The establishment of A-LIGN s Ireland presence is a key step in furthering its international growth strategy. With over 2,500 clients globally, A-LIGN says its new Galway headquarters reaffirms its commitment to the EMEA market, providing clients with consultants and support staff located closer to where they operate.

Galway Bay fm newsroom – A-LIGN, a global security and compliance solutions provider, has announced the establishment of its EMEA business headquarters in Galway, with the creation of approximately 40 roles.
The jobs supported by IDA Ireland will be rolled out over the next five years with recruitment due to get underway later this year.
A-LIGN has 2,500 clients globally.

Onjalé Scott Price wins Falmouth Select Board seat
FALMOUTH Onjalé Scott Price defeated Michael Heylin in the race for a seat on the Falmouth Select Board inTuesday s election.
Scott Price, chief operating officer of Mizar Imaging and co-director of the Woods Hole Partnership Education Program, won the Falmouth Select Board seat with 2,697 votes. Michael Heylin had 1,265 votes.
Ballot question 1, which sought funds to pay the debt to replace the roof of the Teaticket School, passed with 2,839 in favor and 516 against.
“I’m ecstatic,” Scott Price said. “I’m excited. At one point it was announced that I am the first person of color on the Select Board, which is monumental. I don’t plan to be the last by any means.”
