Onjalé Scott Price wins Falmouth Select Board seat
FALMOUTH Onjalé Scott Price defeated Michael Heylin in the race for a seat on the Falmouth Select Board inTuesday s election.
Scott Price, chief operating officer of Mizar Imaging and co-director of the Woods Hole Partnership Education Program, won the Falmouth Select Board seat with 2,697 votes. Michael Heylin had 1,265 votes.
Ballot question 1, which sought funds to pay the debt to replace the roof of the Teaticket School, passed with 2,839 in favor and 516 against.
“I’m ecstatic,” Scott Price said. “I’m excited. At one point it was announced that I am the first person of color on the Select Board, which is monumental. I don’t plan to be the last by any means.”

FALMOUTH, MA Falmouth voters will head to the polls Tuesday, May 18, for the 2021 town election.
One contested race will headline the election, and that s for a seat on the Falmouth Select Board. Incumbent Select Board member Douglas Jones chose not to seek reelection, so two candidates: Michael Heylin and Onjale Scott Price, will compete for the open seat.
Heylin is a town meeting member for Precinct 5 and has run for several town positions over the years, including for the Select Board, Planning Board and Falmouth Library Board of Trustees.

FALMOUTH, MA It s election season in Falmouth with about a month to go before voting booths open for the May 18, 2021 spring town election.
This year, there s one contested race. Select Board member Douglas Jones chose not to seek reelection, so three candidates: Michael Heylin, Onjale Scott Price and Robert Mascali, will compete for the open seat. That means local residents may be thinking about writing a letter of support for specific candidates.

FALMOUTH, MA Route 151, a 7-mile straightaway cutting through Falmouth and Mashpee, is a busy road that allows drivers to avoid much of Route 28, but according to town officials the number of crashes on the road has long been a problem.
And following the death of a 4-year-old boy in a Route 151 crash last week, the Falmouth Select Board will hold a meeting Monday to discuss safety issues along the road. The police chief, public works department and the area s three state legislators have all been invited to the meeting.
