Exemplary ACR student Cameron Poynter The ongoing pandemic has impacted the way schools in the county proceed with their normal daily activities. This means that it is uncertain when schools will be able to welcome visitors back into their buildings. We have partnered with The Columbiana County Career and Technical Center to showcase the career and technical programs that they offer so that incoming juniors can make an informed decision in the circumstance that the school is unable to host upcoming visitations in person. Programs will be spotlighted each month of the school year. Students who are interested in enrolling in a program for the 2021-22 school year are invited to do so by visiting the CCCTC’s webpage (https://www.ccctc.k12.oh.us) and completing the enrollment application which is now available. Third arrest made in shooting that left a Virginia Beach teenager seriously injured last month Jane Harper, The Virginian-Pilot A third suspect has been charged in the shooting of a Virginia Beach teenager last month following a fender bender on Lynnhaven Parkway, police announced Thursday. Tyrion Logan of Virginia Beach was arrested last week in Youngstown, Ohio, police said in a news release. The 22-year-old had fled there shortly after the Dec. 3 shooting on Lynnhaven Parkway, the release said. Logan is charged with aggravated malicious wounding and using a firearm in the commission of a felony. He will be extradited to Virginia Beach to face the charges.

He was just neat as a pin. His persona, the way he carried himself. I just thought that was awesome,” Scheets said. Older folks in Salem will remember Gilbert “Gibby” Bartha Sr.. He was a well-known Salem city police officer who during his off-hours, still in uniform, worked the door at the grocery/department store Persky’s, where Giant Eagle stands now and where Scheets used to see him.
