The weather is turning the corner, and that means one thing for certain: It’s patio season. Before you resurrect the outdoor space of your dreams, though, give your patio furniture the spring cleaning it deserves. Here’s how to get your furniture ready.
Assess the damage
Before diving in, give your furniture a visual inspection. For wood furniture, you may find that the wood has bowed, cracked or discolored during the cooler seasons. Look for signs of rust on metal furniture, for any cane unraveling on your wicker, and tears or animal damage on fabrics. A visual inspection, said Josh Bateman, owner of Prince Gardening in Pittsburgh, can help to establish a cleaning “game plan.”

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Tippah County Sheriff’s Department has reported a Moscow, Tennessee man has been missing since March 23.
Investigators say Johnny Lee Lyles went missing from County Road 130 in Walnut, Mississippi but was last heard from on March 17.
He is described as a Black male, 5 feet 6 inches tall at 140 pounds. He has a tattoo on his right shoulder and a scar on his left arm.
Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to call Investigator Josh Bateman with the Tippah County Sheriffs Department at 662-837-9336.

The head coaching transition from boys to girls high school basketball has gone well for Josh Bateman. The longtime boys coach at Tuckerman is in his first season as the girls head coach at Salem High School. His Lady Greyhounds stand at 17-6 on the season following a tough 52-47 loss to Arkansas’ overall top-ranked team, the Melbourne Lady Bearkatz in the district tournament finals on Saturday. Monday afternoon, Coach Bateman was in the First National Bank High School Coaches’ Corner on “The Drive with Brad Bobo” to discuss his 2020-21 season to date, and preview regional play which begins this week.
