Casey is credited with saving lives when a tornado moved through that area in May of 2008.
He was a volunteer firefighter with the Seneca Area Fire Protection District, assigned to a post near the intersection of Highway 43 and Iris Road to help with storm spotting.
He left his vehicle to to alert a family parked on the side of the road.
The family managed to escape, but Casey was struck by the tornado and died two days later.
Casey is credited with saving the lives of at least three people.
