KOAM July 15, 2021 7:01 PM Payton Holloway Casey is credited with saving lives when a tornado moved through that area in May of 2008. He was a volunteer firefighter with the Seneca Area Fire Protection District, assigned to a post near the intersection of Highway 43 and Iris Road to help with storm spotting. He left his vehicle to to alert a family parked on the side of the road. The family managed to escape, but Casey was struck by the tornado and died two days later.
