The Virginia State Police (VSP) has activated a Senior Alert for Richard Byron Thompson, a 69-year-old man who has disappeared from Norfolk (Courtesy of VSP) NORFOLK Virginia State Police (VSP) has activated its second Senior Alert in Norfolk within a 24 hour span. This time it is for a missing at-risk man. Norfolk City Police Department (NCPD) is looking for Richard Byron Thompson, a 69-year-old white male. He is described as being 5’5″, 150 lbs., with hazel eyes and grey/white hair. He also wears an eye patch to cover what the department describes as a “droopy left eye.” He was last seen at 8:30 p.m. on July 23, 2021 at the 400 block of Dundaff St. in Norfolk. He was wearing a blue polo shirt with white stripes, blue jeans cuffed at the ankles, black high top sneakers, and a thin gold chain. NCPD said that Thompson has visible scratches on his arms with what the department describes as “bleed marks.”
