NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Deputies have arrested a woman and a man accused of trafficking a teenager for sex.
According to Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Tim Soignet, deputies responded to a hotel in reference to a disturbance when they contacted a 19-year-old female from Alabama. Deputies also contacted Katrice Yolanda Brown, 30, who lives in Orlando, Fla.
Investigators learned that the teen met a man named Michael Ashford, also of Orlando, on social media. Officials say she entered into an agreement with Ashford to exchange sex for money “in an attempt to better her living situation.”
Additional Arrests of Morgan City Men Made in Murder Case
On Thursday, KPEL News reported the arrests of Alvin Fitch of Morgan City and Christopher Martin of Berwick on murder warrants. Today, the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff s Office says deputies - along with help from the U.S. Coast Guard and the Grand Isle Police Department - have also arrested 33-year-old Seth Lovett of Morgan City as he came back from working offshore.
In a press release, Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Tim Soignet says human bones were discovered in a wooded area in the 5200 block of North Bayou Black Drive in Gibson on Wednesday. Sheriff Soignet says they were able to find the human remains of a male individual after working with the Morgan City and Patterson Police Departments. The deceased person s identity is not being released at this time as the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab is confirming DNA identification.

According to police, the discovery of the bones led to arrests for murder. Those arrested were Alvin Finch, 34, of Morgan City, and Christopher Martin, 34, of Berwick. Both are facing one count of first-degree murder, according to the sheriff. The sheriff said Chance Boudreaux, 26, was already in custody in Morgan City and was booked for accessory after the fact to first-degree murder and is being held on a $500,000 bond.The remains were found in the 5200 block of North Bayou Black Drive on Wednesday, according to Sheriff Timothy Soignet.
