Trot Insider is asking for help in locating a missing BEMER Horse-Set in the area of Puslinch, Ont.
Trainer Pat Hunt is missing his set consisting of a blanket, both leg boots, the charger and the green and orange bag that the set comes in. This set looks identical to all other horse sets except that the right leg boot is missing the orange cover which makes the blanket very recognizable.
The set was last seen in Hunt s office at Shamrock Training Centre on July 14.

Ten horses at Red Shores in Charlottetown are being closely monitored after showing some level of exposure to the bacteria that causes strangles, says Lee Drake, the manager of racing at the P.E.I. track.
Having just completed his second winter as part of Dr. Ian Moore s southern operation, Dale Spence has opted to forgo a return to his Maritime base of operations in favour of plying his trade on the Ontario harness racing circuit, once it resumes both to assist Moore and to build upon his almost 500 driving wins to date.
Spence, who, along with his fiancée, MacKenzie MacInnis, departed Prince Edward Island for Florida in the winter of 2020 to work with Moore, primarily in preparing two-year-olds for the races. He returned to P.E.I. in May and drove 46 winners 12 of them in stakes in an abbreviated season. Given the uncertainty of harness racing in Canada at the time, and despite mixed reviews of how government officials in the United States are handling pandemic mitigation, Spence and MacInnis reached out to Moore last fall about the possibility of re-upping with him for another winter stint in the Sunshine State.

Red Shores racetrack in lockdown as all horses tested for strangles
The Red Shores racetrack in Charlottetown is in a complete lockdown in an effort to control an outbreak of strangles. About 200 horses at the track were tested late last week and officials are now awaiting those results before deciding on further actions.
