An Athens man was injured last week when police said he became the target of an unidentified driver who ran him down on a neighborhood street in east Athens. Timmy Shaymar Patmon was hit so hard he flew over the top of the car when it struck him about 3:20 p.m. July 21 on the 300 block of Arch Street, according to an Athens-Clarke police report not released until Monday. Police spokesman Lt. Shaun Barnett said a detective is assigned to the case, but he does not have any leads on the driver of the car, which was described as a red or burgundy Nissan Versa.
