OGDENSBURG – Ogdensburg City Council unanimously agreed to sell nine properties with minimum prices ranging from $500 to $3,500 at auction.
The city has been working to decrease the number of properties it owns in an effort to get them back on the tax rolls for the past several years with fair success.
At the Monday council meeting councilors agreed to put three Mill Street properties, one Lake Street property, one Adams Avenue property, one Dearborn Street Property, one Hayward Street property, one Clark Street property and one Greene Street property up for sale at public auction.
The auction will be held at City Hall at 2 p.m. on May 4.
Silver alert issued for 74-year-old woman missing for nearly a week

WASHINGTON (FOX 5 DC) - The Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the public’s help locating 74-year-old Sylvia Booker, who was last seen in the 3400 block of Hayes Street, NE on Friday.
Sylvia Booker is described as a black female with light complexion. She is 5’3 in height, 138 pounds and has white hair and brown eyes.
She was last seen wearing a yellow or white shirt and blue jeans.
Fennville woman dies from injuries in Friday crash

The Muskegon County Medical Examiners Office informed police the woman died Saturday, April 10.
The crash happened on US-31 near Hayes Street just after 6 a.m. Friday, April 9.
Police say a 19-year-old Covert man traveling northbound on US-31 rear-ended the woman s vehicle, which was stopped at a red light.
The woman was transported to Mercy Health Muskegon in critical condition.
The Covert man and passenger in his vehicle, a 40-year-old South Haven man, were treated at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
Fennville woman dies after Ottawa County rear-end crash

OTTAWA COUNTY, MI - A 57-year-old Fennville woman died from her injuries Saturday evening after a rear-end crash left her in critical condition Friday.
Deputies with the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-car crash about 6 a.m. Friday, April 9, located around US-31 near Hayes Street in Grand Haven Township.
The first vehicle driven by a 19-year-old Covert man hit the vehicle driven by the Fennville woman while it was stopped at a red light, according to a news release from the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.
First responders treated the driver and one passenger in the first vehicle, a 40-year-old South Haven man, at the scene for non-life threatening injuries.
