Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Update Fixes Outbreak Problems, Patch Notes Revealed
Treyarch released the second update for
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War of Season Two outside of the big one that kicked off the season itself, and in this update, a number of different issues affecting the game’s new Outbreak mode have been resolved. The patch didn’t deal exclusively with the Outbreak mode and was a small update overall, but the majority of the changes released now did deal with the new Zombies mode and should lead to a smoother experience now.
Gameplay and some of the enemies in the Zombies mode were affected by the update, but the most general and impactful change players should notice dealt with stability. Rather, it’s a change that hopefully players won’t notice at all since part of the update’s purpose was to resolve stability issues with different parts of Outbreak, so if everything should just work as intended now or will at least be closer towards that goal.
“As always, we’ll continue to monitor feedback and game data to ensure a fun and competitive experience with regard to rules and content restrictions in League Play.
“Our ultimate goal is to deliver a more varied experience for players by offering certain variations on the rules, while providing an experience similar to what the pros are playing in the CDL.
“Keep your feedback coming, check out the new changes in place today, and keep on climbing to the top.”
From now on, players logging into League Play for the first time should now see preset CDL classes instead of empty custom classes in Create-a-Class. Players should also be able to save their custom classes properly in League Play without issues.
The Call of Duty League is about to kick off its second season in just a few days. Activision and Treyarch want to help fans get into the spirit by bringing a taste of the esports league to every Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War player. On Monday, Treyarch announced that players could now take part in League Play, a competitive mode that uses the esports league s various maps and settings.
Here s how League Play is described on the Treyarch website:
In League Play, you ll compete against players in your Skill Division in the same Call of Duty League modes and maps that the pros play, along with the ability to run official Call of Duty League preset classes or your own custom loadouts. Rise through 30 different Ranks by participating in League Play Events, and outplay your way to the top of the Master Division!
