The Fayetteville City Council members voted unanimously Monday to approve the city s budget for the 2021-2022 fiscal year with some noted changes.
The final budget comes out as $240.3 million, a nearly $1 million increase from the proposed budget of $239.3 million that City Manager Doug Hewett presented to the council last month. The increase was in the budget s general fund.
Hewett presented the new changes at the City Council meeting Monday evening.
The total increase for the proposed general fund for the budget is $957,885, which includes additional funds for emergencies that may come up in the year, according to Hewett. The increase is funded by an increased fund balance appropriation.
