Who s in all the other houses? Well. that depends on what day it is. You see, Short-Term rentals, which you might know the brand name Air BnB have begun to close in on some long time residents. And the Waco City Council recently took action IT thinks will help. Not so long ago, a new crop of nice, neat, downtown homes started popping up. They had names like Sterling House, Urban Myrtle, the Story House, and Avenues of Waco. Before anyone really knew what had happened, many more had snuck in without the fancy signage.

WACO, Texas (KWTX) – Robinson High School students Oscar Valadez, 18, who has autism, and his prom date Abagail York, 15, who has epilepsy, made a pre-prom stop Saturday at the Cameron Park Zoo, where a local author was signing copies of a book she wrote in hopes of sparking conversations about those with disabilities. “I wanted to take Abagail to the Cameron Park Zoo because I know it means a lot to her, plus, we both have disabilities ourselves and I thought it would be something that would be pretty unique and pretty interesting and fun,” Oscar said.

Millions of homes were without power for days and frozen or burst water pipes are just some of the issues we ve had to deal with since Monday, February 15. As power has returned, lots of homes are still without water. Several cities have boil water notices in effect and Killeen, Temple and Copperas Cove have all set up water stations to help folk that need it. Our new partners at KWTX are reporting that Waco Mayor Dillon Meek and McLennan County Judge Scott Felton have issued orders
