Ball a Carsonville native and Deckerville High School grad is working his way up the Professional Bull Riders ladder in hopes of making that his full-time profession. Those hopes recently became more realistic when the 22-year-old Ball elevated to the top 50 in world points standings. “It would be a nice way to avoid hard work,” said Ball, referring to the possibility of being a full-time competitor in bull riding. “You just want to make sure you’re doing well and not wasting your time or money, because it costs a lot to go each week.”

PBR, whose headquarters are in Pueblo, began an initiative called 21 in 21. The company provides their employees with 21 hours off of work to spend doing community service. Cleaning planters at the Pueblo Riverwalk on Earth Day was the group s first official opportunity to receive volunteer hours.
