Road construction season is in full swing now and PennDOT has released its list of projects it is working on this week.
Along with mowing, sweeping and sign repair projects, crews will work on bridge maintenance projects on Old Route 119 in Center and White Townships, Route 119 in Rayne Township, Route 954 in Washington Township and Five Points Road in Armstrong and Washington Townships.

Ahead of the Christmas holiday, gas prices have gone up across the United States, while in Pennsylvania, the average cost remains unchanged for now.
Triple-A reports that the national gas price average has jumped to $2.24 a gallon as of this morning. This comes after a jump of six cents between December 14
th and the 21
st. Triple-A said two factors contributed to the spike in the gas prices: Tightening supply and rising crude oil prices. Prices for crude oil have topped $49 per barrel, marking the highest cost since last February, before stay-at-home guidance was issued across the country due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
