Differential exterior cleaning and blasting

Suspension: Stock Happy Easter!
I m thinking of having my axles re-geared with new bearings etc at East Coast Gear Supply (I live in NC, not too far from ECGS and would not have to ship). I don t have the skills or tools to re-gear myself and certainly wouldn t want my first re-gear attempt be on these diffs. ECGS will of course do all the mechanical work, but do not do any cleaning (blasting) or painting. They prefer to work on complete units that have not been disassembled and this is understandable.
I was thinking about cleaning, sand blasting, and painting the differential exteriors before taking to ECGS and I m sure they would like to work on nice clean units. Can they be completely assembled when blasted? Is there much trouble keeping media out of the brakes, axle and yolk bearings and seals? Is it possible to do a first class paint job on assembled units. I also plan to replace and/or rebuild all brake components.

The chances of surviving a cardiac arrest have been boosted for the community surrounding Tipapa Marae in Murupara, with the gift of a new automated external defibrillator (AED).
The lifesaving device presented by St John is the latest of 28 AEDs donated by ASB and Philips to support efforts by St John to improve cardiac arrest survival rates in New Zealand.
St John s Out-of-Hospital Cardiac Arrest (OHCA) registry, released last week, revealed last year, St John Ambulance treated more than 2000 people for a cardiac arrest in the community, with only 31 per cent of those surviving to hospital arrival.
