Alba s legal letter states that counsel s advice is that the committee’s decision is in error and susceptible to judicial review . Welsh independence is a talking point in this election – more so than in previous years. The WalesOnline St David s Day poll earlier this year showed that opposition to independence had fallen to its lowest ever level. The YouGov poll showed that the proportion of people saying they would definitely oppose independence is now just 50%. Some parties, like Plaid Cymru and the Green Party, support independence but First Minister Mark Drakeford has told us he thinks independence would be bad for Wales.
