An infant died after a long wait for admission to a hospital in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, last evening. She reportedly tested positive for Kovid and had difficulty breathing. His parents kept begging him for about an hour for his treatment but by the time he was finally admitted, it was too late.
After her death, angry relatives attended the hospital and had a fight with the staff, and called on them.
Outside King George Hospital, Visakhapatnam’s eldest, one and a half year old Sarita, frantically struggles to breathe in an ambulance while waiting for her parents.

Vizag: A 15-month old child succumbed to COVID-19 on Tuesday evening after waiting for a long time to get admitted in a hospital in Andhra Pradesh.
The baby was taken to the King George hospital, Vishakhapatnam’s biggest, and the parents of the child alleged that inordinate delay in hospital admission led to the death.
The father was seen pumping oxygen using an ambu-bag while her mother wept helplessly.

Home to rows of huge bungalows, Jubilee Hills continues to be the city’s costliest realty area. But prices across regions like Kothur, Shadnagar, Medchal that hovered in the Rs 1-2 crore/acre range until 2020, have over doubled now to touch Rs 3.5-4 crore/acre, according to market estimates.
