The current Porsche 911 has been in-market for about 18 months now, meaning it’s time for Stuttgart to begin introducing a few variants of its famous rear-engined sports car. Meet the GTS trim, packing 473 horsepower from its 3.0L turbocharged flat-six engine.
That’s nearly two-dozen more than the current 911 Carrera S and the previous 911 GTS. A total of five model variants will be on tap, including coupé and cabrio versions in rear- or all-wheel-drive, plus an all-wheel-drive Targa. An eight-speed dual-clutch transmission (PDK) or a seven-speed manual is offered, the latter of which is great news to gearheads even if it will likely bear slower acceleration times compared to the PDK.
