Groups of Conservative and Liberal Democrat town councillors and volunteers went out on Sunday to pick up litter and discarded waste. The new mayor of Trowbridge, Cllr Denise Bates, joined her colleague Cllr Andrew Bryant to hosted a Liberal Democrat litter pick with volunteers on Sunday and then held a joint surgery on Monday. Cllr Bryant said: “We are very grateful to the staff and pupils of Holbrook Primary School who have been extremely supportive in allowing us to continue our surgery on their premises.

Citywide Brush Pickup to begin May 10 The Oak Ridge citywide brush pickup program will begin Monday, May 10.  Tree limbs and bagged yard clippings and leaves will be picked up, a city news release stated. City collection efforts will follow the accompanying schedule as closely as possible.The proposed schedule is a general guide and can vary considerably from the actual schedule due to weather conditions and/or the amount of participation by residents. All limbs should be placed near, but not beyond the curb, with the butt end near the street. Keep all materials off sidewalks, parking areas and out of gutters.

Oak Branch Road, adjoining streets will be resurfaced through DOT grant Oak Branch Road, adjoining streets will be resurfaced through DOT grant East Windsor has been awarded a $530,000 grant from the New Jersey Department of Transportation (DOT) Fiscal Year 2021 Municipal Aid Program for improvements to Oak Branch Road and its adjoining streets, Pineybranch Road, Pinehurst Drive and Warren Drive. The $530,000 state grant includes milling and resurfacing as well as other associated improvements to concrete curbing, aprons, and storm water sewer inlet grates.  The project focuses on a neighborhood of local older streets providing frequent homeowner access and use, according to information provided by the township.
