Mark Roger Rebegila, of St. Marys, pleaded not guilty at a teleconference Friday to all four federal charges he faces linked to the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C., court records show.
The plea was heard by U.S. District Judge Amit P. Mehta, who scheduled a June 11 status conference in the case, which is also be held by teleconference.
A federal criminal complaint alleges Rebegila on Jan. 6 entered the U.S. Capitol, sat in a lawmaker s chair and stole a bottle of liquor.
Federal court records show Rebegila faces charges of knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority; violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds; disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building; and parading, demonstrating or picketing in a Capitol building.
