MCCALL â The Idaho Association of Commerce & Industry has just presented Clif Bar Baking Company of Twin Falls with its 2021 Environmental Excellence Award during IACIâs 47th Public Policy Conference in McCall over the weekend.
First presented in 1997, the IACI Environmental Excellence Award provides recognition to businesses which, through innovative environmental leadership and accomplishment, have achieved outstanding results in environmental protection and enhancement. All businesses operating in Idaho are eligible for the award, including non-IACI members.
The Clif Bar project was selected by an independent review committee including Elizabeth Criner, Executive Director of Veritas Advisors LLP, who served as non-voting chair. The Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) has found a new home in Manila after apparently getting evicted from the Malacañang compound.

Led by Presidential Communications Secretary Martin Andanar, the PCOO has started to rent an office space at the Times Plaza Building along UN Avenue in Manila. The lease contract amounted to P18.5 million based on government records.
With a year left in the Duterte administration’s term, Andanar’s team has vacated its home at the New Executive Building (NEB) along Jose P. Laurel St, San Miguel, Manila last week after the Office of the President (OP) regained occupancy of the building.

The Group Managing Director/CEO of Access Bank Plc, Mr. Herbert Wigwe, has been recognised as the African Banker of the Year at the 2021 edition of the African Banker Awards.
A winner of one of the most prized categories at the awards ceremony for the second consecutive year, Wigwe was recognised for his stellar leadership in the market expansion of sub-Saharan Africa’s largest bank despite the negative impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
A statement from the bank yesterday explained that over the last 12 months, Access Bank has established a presence in South Africa following its acquisition of Grobank.

The Sandiganbayan has ordered the lawyer of the late Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) Chairperson and former Sulu Gov. Yusop Hussin Jikiri to explain the filing of a motion for reconsideration despite his manifestation on the death of his client.
In a resolution, the anti-graft court warned that “the Court will be constrained to act accordingly” if the lawyer, Jose Ventura Aspiras, fails to comply with its directive.
Jikiri, together with Department of Agriculture (DA) Regional Field Unit XI Executive Director Oscar Parawan, were sentenced last Nov. 27, 2020 to a total of 16 to 26 years imprisonment on charges of graft and malversation.
