New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be holding a virtual summit with his Vietnam counterpart Nguyen Xuan Phuc on Monday to discuss the future development of the India-Vietnam comprehensive strategic partnership.
According to an official statement issued by Prime Minister s Office, During the Summit, the two leaders will exchange views on wide-ranging bilateral, regional and global issues and provide guidance for the future development of India-Vietnam Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. New Delhi [India], December 21 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Vietnamese counterpart Nguyen Xuan Phuc held productive discussions at a virtual summit held on Monday and exchanged views on wide-ranging bilateral, regional and global issues with the two countries adopting a Joint Vision for Peace, Prosperity and People to guide the future development of India-Vietnam Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
To implement the vision, a plan of action for the period 2021-2023 was also signed between the two Foreign Ministers, which identify concrete follow up actions.

India and Vietnam are likely to seal a number of agreements and make certain announcements to further expand overall ties including in areas of defence, energy and healthcare at a virtual summit between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Vietnamese counterpart Nguyen Xuan Phuc on Monday, official sources said.
The evolving situation in the Indo-Pacific is expected to figure prominently in the talks as both countries have shared interest in a free, open, peaceful, prosperous and a rules-based regional order, they said.
In the summit, the two sides are also likely to issue a joint vision for future development of India-Vietnam Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with an aim to chart a new course of enhanced cooperation in a range of areas, they said.
