Bridgeton Police Officer honored during National Police Week

VINELAND – The extended Cumberland County law enforcement family gathered at sunset Thursday to remember their fallen. It’s become tradition for the Vineland Police Department to host the National Police Week tribute to those who lost their lives in the service of others. Millville Police Department Chief Jody Farabella told those assembled he thinks of Patrolman Christopher Reeves every day. The 40-year old officer died July 8, 2012 when his patrol car was struck by another vehicle at 3rd and Broad streets. They remembered New Jersey State Police Trooper Frankie Williams, assigned to the Port Norris Station. He was responding to calls of an erratic driver when his cruiser was struck by a vehicle that crossed the Route 55 median. Williams was 31 when he died Dec. 5, 2016.

NJ Police Chief Facing Demotion After Asking Officer to Sleep with Wife AND Daughter!

The announcement was made during an administrative disciplinary hearing last week where officials found Rudolph Beu guilty of several offenses during his time as a police officer for the Vineland Police Department. He was accused of failure to perform duties, conduct unbecoming a public employee and neglect of duty and he was already suspended from his position with pay since last February. Beu faced several allegations which included one incident in 2017 where he promised a promotion for a cop in exchange for sex with the officer’s wife or daughter who was underage. He was also accused of nepotism for allegedly trying to promote his daughter and not properly disciplining his son-in-law at the department as reported by the New York Post.
