Can you feel it? We’re just days away now and I have to admit I’m pretty damn excited. I think it’s time I watched Draft Day, a heist movie of epic proportions. Will Joe Douglas have a “[insert player name] no matter what” note tucked up in his trouser pocket? Let’s get into it.

What do you do if Kwity Paye falls to #23? How about Jaelan Phillips, Jayson Oweh or Gregory Rousseau? Chances are at least one of them will be available when the Jets get on the clock for their 2nd pick in the first round. Would you draft an edge at that position?
6 Things to Know About New Jets DL Vinny Curry He s a Family Man, Whether That Family s at the Jersey Shore, Marshall U., the Eagles or the Green & White Apr 27, 2021 at 08:10 AM Michael Perez/Associated Press
Vinny Curry is a homebody. He likes his Jersey Shore stomping grounds and, appropriate for the Garden State, various shades of green. Here are six things you might want to know about the Jets newly signed ninth-year defensive lineman.
Happy Camper
Curry loves his Neptune, NJ, hometown and his home shore area so much that he s given back to the community in many of the late springs/early summers he s been in the area. We may have lost count but in his first six seasons with the Eagles, he staged three one-day football camps for kids from kindergarten to eighth grade at his alma mater, Neptune HS.

There is a perception, however true or untrue it is, that a defining trait of the Howie Roseman era is that Roseman thinks he’s smarter than everyone. Another defining trait that is less in question is that his drafts have overall been poor. So what if Howie Roseman outsmarted everyone in the draft by doing something that sounds really stupid?
In 2007, Doug Drinen at Pro Football Reference theorized that if a team didn’t do any actual scouting for the draft, they wouldn’t suffer greatly for it.
I’d like to suggest that at this point the amount of freely-available information about the draft is so mountainous that, if you believe there is wisdom in crowds, it’s not completely insane to believe that compiling all this public information in an intelligent way could constitute a reasonable substitute for a scouting department. In other words, the internet and a bunch of draft publications (maybe even Street & Smith’s!) might be your TV.

Addressing the media for the first time since free agency, Jets head coach Robert Saleh was asked about the newest additions to New York s defense.
Saleh smiled. It s a cool start, that s for sure, the head coach said. Getting Carl Lawson obviously, and adding him with Sheldon Rankins, and then adding those two with Vinny Curry also. And getting them adding into Quinnen [Williams], and John Franklin-Myers, and Foley [Fatukasi] and [Nathan Shepherd]. And obviously there’s a couple of rookies and players that are also here. It’s a cool group. It’s a really good start and it’s got a chance to be pretty, pretty disruptive. And we’re excited to get on the grass and work with them.
