A drug bust on College Hill has landed 2 Pullman residents in jail after authorities allegedly found nearly a pound of methamphetamine.
The case began when the Whitman County Sheriff’s Office received information about narcotics trafficking at a residence on Terre View Drive. Deputies obtained and executed a search warrant at the residence on Monday night. They reportedly found nearly a pound of meth, packaging materials, scales, drug paraphernalia and several hundred dollars in cash.
60-year-old William Ortiz and 50-year-old Nadine Reiber were arrested for possession of meth with intent to deliver.
Two Pullman residents were booked into the Whitman County Jail after county deputies found 12 ounces of methamphetamine along with other drug-related items in a home on NE Terre View Drive.
60-year-old William Gerena Ortiz and 50-year-old Nadine Reiber were charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, according to a press release from the Whitman County Sheriff’s Office.
The charge is a Class B felony and can result in up to 10 years in prison and a fine up to $25,000, according to the Washington State Legislature.

A 15-year-old girl was seriously injured Thursday night when she was hit by a semi while running from a Colton area residence where authorities were responding to a family disturbance.
The Whitman County Sheriff’s Office reports that deputies were called to a disturbance at a home just South of Colton around 8:30. When deputies arrived the girl, who was involved in the disturbance, fled from the home and ran onto U.S. Highway 195. She was struck by a Northbound semi. The girl was flown from the scene to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane. The sheriff’s office reports that her condition is unknown at this time.
