Edward Tucker Architects will mark its 25th year of business in August.
Huntington native Edward Tucker began his career in Nashville, Tennessee, building experience in health-care architecture and planning. Having worked out a purchase of Dean and Dean Architects, Tucker restarted the Huntington-based business in 1996 with one employee and a part-time secretary.
With a focus on education and health care, major projects in recent years have been completed for Raceland-Worthington schools, as well as Cabell Huntington Hospital, Marshall University, Marshall Health, Huntington Federal Savings Bank, Cabell County Schools, Raceland-Worthington Schools, West Virginia State University, Bluefield College, the City of Huntington, the Cabell County Commission, Cabell County Public Libraries and the Huntington Museum of Art. Â
ASHLAND â Whether students and teachers are reentering the classroom for the first time, continuing to learn virtually or have remained in-person throughout the past year, Ashland Town Center aims to provide the community with many different ways to celebrate the fresh start of a new school year.
Through a selection of upcoming events, guests will be able to savor the last moments of summer and prepare for school in style, mall officials said in a news release.
âWe are excited to prepare kids, families, and educators in the Tri-State community for this coming school year,â said Vicki Ramey, general manager at Ashland Town Center, in the release. âThis school year will be especially memorable as many students return to in-person learning, and at Ashland Town Center, we want to support guests and offer ways to celebrate the start of an exciting new year in the classroom.â

ASHLAND Three new retailers are now in the Ashland Town Center. One will host a grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony today.
The Preppy Turtle and Neel Thredz Spa are already open. Time Warp will open today next to Hot Topic. The ribbon cutting is set for 11 a.m. in front of the store.
Time Warp, which already has a location in Ashland on 16th Street, offers a mix of sports merchandise, sports memorabilia, sports cards, vintage toys, Warhammer, board games, Funko pops, posters and more.
Today, customers can enter to win prizes with a $10 minimum purchase. Prizes include a Nintendo Switch, a $400 box of basketball cards, two $100 Time Warp gift cards and 10 tickets to the FTC wrestling event on May 14. WWE Hall of Famer Ron Simmons will be at Time Warp from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
